JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Responsible for all cleanliness and sanitationinthe kitchen and adjacentareas 
  • Creative menu planning to adjust to guestneeds 
  • Oversees food preparation 
  • Checks quality of fooddeliveries 
  • Ensures that kitchen/restaurant areas areclean 
  • Orders all food and cleaningsupplies 
  • Maintains proper supplylevels 
  • Able to maintain costs within budgetlevels 
  • Keep the kitchen properly staffed and manageschedules 
  • Hires, coaches and disciplines directreports 
  • Interacts positively and professionally with guests to resolveissues 
  • Other duties asassigned 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High School Diploma/GED, post-high school educationpreferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years in kitchen management or as aChef 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Basic mathskills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and inwriting 
  • Strong leadershipskills 
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and teammembers 
  • Excellent time managementskills
